Become a Sponsor
Sponsorships of York City Little League are vital to the league’s financial health and its ability to continue operation. The York City Little League depends on fundraising to help pay for the significant costs involved with annual operations.
If you are interesting in sponsoring the league, there are some guidelines that must be followed.
Sponsorship of a team must be, for the sponsor, out of a sense of responsibility to help the community. While sponsorships offer some benefits, the underlying purpose is to help the children of York City Little League.
As anyone who has played in the league knows, Little League offers an excellent opportunity for children to learn the values of teamwork, sportsmanship and fair play. It also provides a positive, structured environment so the children can grow up to become good citizens.
Sponsorship does not:
- Permit the sponsor to have any rights or responsibilities in the operation of the league or in the selection of manager, coaches or others. The sponsor and the local Little League are independent contractors with respect to one another, and neither has any authority to represent or bind the other in any manner or to any extent whatsoever, except as specified below.
- Give the sponsor the right to use the word “official” in connection with its sponsorship. Any reference to the sponsorship must make it clear that the sponsorship is with a team or teams in the Local Little League only, and NOT for Little League Baseball, Little League Baseball and Softball, and/or Little League International.
The sponsor has the right to use the following term in advertisements, posters, brochures, newsletters, etc.: “Sponsor of a team in the (York City Little League).”
